Most of my engagements are for solo flamenco guitar recitals with a few events requesting a flamenco dancer.

Often I play for weddings and private parties. But I also play for corporate events and Spanish themed evenings.

I say this right at the beginning because you may have you own specific preferences.

There is a huge interest in Spanish music and culture in Cambridge.

I guess that the university may play a part in this.
Many Spanish people come to Cambridge University to study degrees and post graduate degrees.
Naturally, the faculty is rich with teaching staff who have a very deep understanding of Spain and Spanish music.
Perhaps due to this I receive many enquiries in both English and Spanish from people who want Spanish guitar music for their event.

Of course, it is not just the university. People contact me from anywhere in Cambridgeshire looking for a Spanish flamenco guitarist.

Indeed, recently I am playing in Cambridgeshire a great deal more than I did a few years ago. 
One of the things that has changed is that people contact me looking for a Spanish guitarist.
In these cases, I am very careful to discuss my repertoire with them.
We usually agree that a mixture of Spanish classical and flamenco pieces is best.

Spanish Flamenco Classical Guitar Options

I can offer a number of options for your event.

Although I am a flamenco guitarist and authentic flamenco is my passion, I offer several alternatives:

1. Only flamenco guitar playing
2. Just classical guitar music
3. A combination of flamenco and classical
4. Any of the above but with more South American styles

In terms of duration again this is very flexible.

1. A full evening or afternoon recital
2. Short 45 minute recital
3. A number of sets to accompany a wedding or other event

Solo Spanish Flamenco and Classical Guitar recital for a wedding.

This wedding was a little unexpected.

The couple getting married and nearly all of their guests were from South America. A continent that already has its own very rich musical culture. Although South American people speak Spanish that does not imply that they will necessarily like Spanish music.

In this case they did like both flamenco and Spanish classical guitar music. Accordingly, I prepared a repertoire of Flamenco pieces and Spanish Classical pieces. I also prepared several beautiful South American pieces.

It turned out that the happy couple had lived in Spain where they had heard flamenco guitarists. They especially liked the mood of the Spanish guitar which had accompanied their evenings together in Spain.

Not surprisingly they wanted to book a flamenco guitarist. Consequently, my playing brought back their happy memories of Spain.

As such, I will always remember this wedding as one of my happiest performances.

Flamenco dance and guitar for Corporate Event

For this engagement I presented a show with a flamenco dancer.

The event organiser had arranged a very good wooden floored, elevated stage.

My flamenco dancer was thus able to show some of her fastest and most complex and powerful flamenco footwork.

As I have very good microphones and amplification, I could provide a sound of ample quality and volume.
