The Festival of the Artisan, Ashbourne

I was invited to give a performance of authentic traditional Spanish Flamenco Guitar Music.

The stage was in a large church.

It was a relaxed event and people were free to wander in and out.

In fact, the majority remained seated.

The sound engineers were superb and I remember they selected just the fight microphone for my flamenco guitar.
Consequently, the sound was magnificent and I could hear each and every nuance of the guitar.

This all helped me to give my best performance.
I was delighted to play there.

Flamenco Guitarist, Dancers and Singer Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Although this was a private event, they wanted a big show.

They hired a venue with a good performance area.

I recruited my two favourite flamenco dancers and a very versatile Spanish singer.

So, we were just four performers but we performed all of the following.

1. Flamenco guitar pieces
2. Classical guitar pieces
3. Solo Flamenco dances
4. Two flamenco dancers together
5. Flamenco singer for dancers
6. Spanish songs with guitar accompaniment
7. Castanets and guitar

We make sure that we create variety.
Thus, the show is organised as: flamenco guitar solo, solo dance, Spanish song, castanets, duet dance, classical solo etc.

Flamenco Guitar Recital Derby

I gave a flamenco guitar recital for a classical guitar society in Derby.
There may have been a time in the past when classical and flamenco guitarists avoided each other.
But for many decades we have got along very well together.
As such, I was very happy to play for this society.

Flamenco guitarist for dinner at hotel, Buxton

I confess I had never heard of Buxton.
So, I suppose I did not imagine a big town.
However, I was very impressed by the architecture.
It is really very eye catching.
I would say that the hotel was every bit as grand as any hotel I have played at.
My clients wanted a selection of flamenco and classical pieces.
Additionally, they requested certain specific compositions.
I prepared my repertoire very carefully to give a very complete programme of flamenco and classical.
