Flamenco Guitar Recital Grammar School Leicester

Many years ago, I travelled from Spain to Britain to give a series of concerts.
One of my flamenco guitar students introduced me to the school directors.
The school had the custom of putting on music recitals.
They felt it was a appropriate to invite me to play a flamenco guitar recital.
Thus, I was overjoyed to play flamenco for them.
The local radio station interviewed me and gave me time to play some pieces.

As you can imagine it was a very exciting opportunity and encouraged me to want to play more in Britain.

Flamenco Guitarist Cafe Español Hinckley

A unique and fabulous place.

This superb Spanish restaurant is run by a Spanish family.
The food is absolutely authentic Spanish.
It is within an art gallery which gives a lovely atmosphere and very good natural acoustics.
I performed on two different occasions with two different flamenco dancers.
They had an exhibition of Spanish art and quite a lot of Spanish people.

It was magical and one of my happiest memories of playing guitar in Leicestershire.

Flamenco Guitar Recital Spanish Group Market Harborough

A group of Spanish people invited me to give a flamenco guitar concert.
This was for their cultural evening.
At first if I am honest, I was a little nervous.
The people were very knowledgeable about flamenco.
They knew what they wanted and had high expectations.
Some of their members played guitar quite well.

This kind of situation can go two ways.

Nerves can overtake you and you just lose your control of the guitar.
Conversely so many experts can push you to play your best.

I was lucky.

They were demanding but they really liked the first piece.
The ice was broken and I was home.
I played so many pieces and included some of the most authentic flamenco styles.
