I have been very happy to play solo flamenco guitar in Nottinghamshire on many occasions.

Each time has been a wonderfully positive experience.

Flamenco Guitarist for Anniversary Celebration

Langar Hall

This was a gentle event held by a couple to celebrate their life together.

The couple had invited just their family and close friends.

As such it was a lovely relaxed and intimate setting.

They specifically wanted a recital of Flamenco Guitar Music.

Although they felt that a few Spanish classical pieces might also suit the occasion.

The classical pieces were all by Spanish composers.

Sometimes it feels as though flamenco may have inspired the composers.

The natural sound of my concert flamenco guitar was superb.

I chose one of my finest concert instruments.

My guitars have plenty of volume but even more important they have superb quality of sound, clarity and projection.

Because of this I did not need to use any microphone or amplification.

I was delighted that the couple and their guests knew about flamenco.

Don’t get me wrong; I love playing for all people regardless of flamenco expertise.

The couple approached me and asked about a typical flamenco rhythmical structure.

It was apparent from their comments that they did know about flamenco music.

They understood the timing and the mood of each piece.

In this wonderful environment I was able to give my best performance.

I presented a complete show with flamenco dancer for the Spanish cultural evening.

I remember the way in which the management very carefully planned everything in the weeks leading up to the night.

Because of this I knew that they were taking their event seriously.

This is important to me because it shows that they will also take our flamenco show seriously.

They were very careful to plan for our arrival to the extent of providing us with good changing space and a good stage area.

Additionally, they organised professional sound for us.

I mention all of this because professional management promotes professional performances.

This was a private family booking.

It was a very important evening for the family.

They were celebrating a big family success.

They had lived in Spain and there were Spanish people present.

The sound of the Spanish Flamenco guitar brought back so many happy memories to them.

This influenced their choice to book me to play authentic flamenco guitar music.

As you can imagine it was a joy to play for these lovely people.
