I play flamenco guitar throughout Wiltshire for weddings and many other different kinds of event.

Pewsey: Private Garden Party

The title may not sound like anything very special but actually it was one of my best experiences.

The event was organised by a couple who has spent time living and working in Spain.

They had come to understand and very much appreciate flamenco.

They booked me because they especially enjoy solo flamenco guitar.

From listening to my sound clips and watching my videos they felt my repertoire reminded them of the flamenco that they had so enjoyed in Spain.

Their guests also knew quite a lot about flamenco and recognised the flamenco pieces and styles that I played.

Literature Competition Swindon

The truth is I never really understood why this group of poets, writers and authors wanted me to play for their competition.

I think that they wanted something perhaps a little different between the readings.

Well, it worked out very well.

They seemed to enjoy my music very much and were very complimentary about my selection of flamenco pieces.

Flamenco Guitar for Baptism

For some Spanish people the baptism of their baby is both serious and a matter of great joy.

This Spanish family decided to host a very large party to celebrate the baptism.

They asked me to provide a flamenco show with the following elements.

Solo Flamenco guitar as guests arrive.

The music should be uplifting and give the guests a big sense of joy as they arrive.

Consequently, I played all of the virtuoso flamenco pieces to my maximum capacity.

A show with flamenco dancer throughout the dinner.

Most important that there should be variety.

These Spanish people knew their flamenco and wanted to see the full range of flamenco dances.

Fortunately, my Spanish flamenco dancer is fully trained and superlative.

Consequently, in addition to her extensive repertoire of flamenco dances she also performed duets of castanet with my compositions.

Gentle Spanish Classical pieces after the speeches.

This was for a time of reflection while guests came forward to see the baby and congratulate the parents.

Although I am first and foremost a flamenco guitarist, I also play Spanish classical pieces.

Therefore, I played a selection of the quieter more romantic compositions.

The Legacy Rose and Crown Salisbury

This was a corporate party for one of the big fashion/perfume houses.

To be honest at first, I was not sure why such glamourous event would want a Spanish guitarist.

But they did and they enjoyed it.

I think this is testimony to the fact that flamenco music has reached people from all walks of life and that they do indeed understand it.
